My childhood dentist, who was the first female dentist to study orthodontics abroad, inspired me to pivot from studying architecture to become a dentist. Now I use my combined passion for art and science to reconstruct, build and create smiles. All credit is due to my mother, however, who always encouraged a career in dentistry. Thank you, mom!

When I look back at my dental career and education, I owe where I am to my mentors and peers who were willing to help me. I wish to do the same for those around me. As an Asian-American, I am looking forward to our community gathering together and helping to make a difference for one another.

I love AADS because it brings together minority groups that are often underrepresented in healthcare. Especially being a young, female Asian American dentist, I find it difficult sometimes to find a mentor and role model who share a similar background. I also think it's important to have an organization like this to advocate on behalf of patients from Asian communities." 

I am grateful for the friendships and professional relationships I continue to build through Asian American Dental Society — thank you for the opportunity to meet, network and support one another. The continuing education offerings through AADS are excellent, and I have gained a lot from the experience.
